With almost 9 years of experience in the industry, our founder has successfully been an Au Pair abroad herself and has placed Au Pairs abroad since 2017. Our deep passion for cultural exchange drives us to see our clients grow, explore, and create lasting memories. These programs provide young people with the opportunity to travel the world safely and affordably. From the initial stages to your return home, we are here to guide, support, and assist you every step of the way.

Founder and CEO Nadine van Wyngaardt
Nadine van Wyngaardt hails from the small town of Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. With a lifelong dream of traveling abroad, she took a leap of faith and became an Au Pair in the USA in 2015, where she lived with an amazing host family and explored the country.
Among her most memorable trips were visits to New York, Nashville, Destin, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and San Diego. During her two unforgettable years in the States, Nadine met new people, discovered new places, and built friendships with people from all over the world. This experience ignited a deep passion for cultural exchange, inspiring her to help other young South Africans seize similar opportunities.
Upon returning to South Africa in 2017, Nadine worked as an agent, successfully sending numerous Au Pairs abroad. Her love and dedication to cultural exchange programs motivated her to take another leap of faith, leading to the creation of Explore Abroad. The mission of Explore Abroad is to help the youth of South Africa dream big, travel, learn, grow, and explore the world, providing the perfect platform for these life-changing experiences.
